For the third consecutive year, Venice's Moon Club is organizing the Depeche Mode Party.
A celebratory, high-energy evening dedicated to fans, aficionados, and followers of what is unanimously considered one of the greatest bands of all time.
A long night of enveloping electronic sounds, all to dance to, dedicated to all of DM's hits, with a particular focus on the golden decade of the historic trio from Basildon, between 1980 and 1990. The era in which Dave Gahan and his companions established themselves as the greatest synth pop band of the immense new wave nebula, thanks also to the decisive contribution of Vince Clarke (present on the first album Speak And Spell in 1981) and the brilliant Alan Wilder, who took over from him on subsequent productions, culminating in the dark turn of the splendid Black Celebration (1986) and the two subsequent masterpieces Music For The Masses (1987) and Violator (1990), which coincided with the band's authentic creative zenith.
Accompanying a monographic setlist, there will also be hits, sounds, and influences from other synth pop bands of the '80s, such as Yazoo, Soft Cell, OMD, Visage, Human League, New Order, A-Ha, and ample space will also be given to other giants of new wave, such as The Cure, U2, Joy Division, Ultravox, and many others.
